Jay will be talking about The Shark's Paintbrush and signing books at his local bookseller, Book Passage, "the Bay Area's Liveliest Bookstore."

Jay will be speaking on  Biomimicry, The Next Big Thing - How Nature is Inspiring Radical Innovation in Swiggert Commons, at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. 

Jay will be guest of honor at an informal PNCA lunch conversation on biomimicry, innovation, and other topics.

Jay will participate in a workshop / critique with select PNCA Product Design students & faculty.

Jay will be speaking at Seattle's Town Hall on pioneering engineers leveraging the “deep patterns of nature,” and how inventors and business leaders can reconcile to create more powerful technologies while maximizing sustainability.

Jay will provide a Plenary speech on the morning of Friday, October 18.  His is also on a Bioneers panel with David McConville and Jason McLennan, hosted by Elizabeth Thompson on "The Leading Edges of Design for a Sustainable World."  The panel is scheduled for Friday, October 18, from 2:45-4:15pm.

Jay will be interviewed on KPFK Los Angeles's Free Forum with Terrence McNally.

Jay will be participating in the Natural Revolution Summit, a two-day event re-visioning how technology and business can work with the natural world to achieve benefits for all.  The conference focuses specifically on development, research, and investment of biomimetic opportunities. 

Jay Harman will be the Distinguished Speaker at UTPA's Earth Week celebrations in the university's Library Media Theatre.

Jay Harman will be the keynote speaker at this years Australasian Trend Forecast Workshop hosted by Colourways. The Colourways program connecting designers, manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, researchers, marketers, educators, engineers, builders, and mediain a forum to explore ideas and emerging trends.  Jay will share insights on ways to reimagine manufacturing, building and designing using the principles of one of the world's emerging trends, biomimicry.
